The district Collector, Valluri Kranti, met with leaders of all political parties at the IDOC office. She directed them to follow the rules of the Suvidha online portal, which is a one-stop solution for all permissions related to election expenses, meeting permissions, rallies, nominations, etc.

According to Kranti, candidates must obtain permission for door-to-door campaigns, loudspeakers, temporary platforms, and vehicles to be used in party rallies through the Suvidha online portal. She also emphasized that candidates should open a zero balance account specifically for their election expenses and record their expenses in a register. The expenses will be compared with the shadow register by the district electoral officer.

Kranti mentioned that campaigning on behalf of a candidate without prior permission can result in a case under section 171 H. Candidates will be disqualified if they engage in activities such as liquor or money distribution, and they will lose eligibility for future elections.
