Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force, along with the Sultan Bazar police, uncovered an organized cricket betting racket. They arrested a person named Vikas Jain, who was working as a collection agent. The arrest took place at Wall Street Apartment on MJ Market road. The police seized Rs 8 lakh, a mobile phone, a bike, and a counting machine from him.

Vikas Jain, aged 41, was working as a collection agent for a betting organization called Majestic Pride, based in Goa. According to the police, Vikas was collecting betting amounts and receiving illegal commissions for his work. The betting was being done through an online app called http://luckystar123.in, which allowed people to place bets on ongoing cricket matches. The main organizers of the racket were operating from Goa and had appointed Vikas to handle collections in Hyderabad.
