    Hyderabad, July 11 (Namaste Telangana): The State Police Department has announced police service medals to 721 personnel on the occasion of State Formation Day. The names of the personnel who have rendered special services in the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Vigilance and Enforcement, Traffic, and Fire and Rescue Services have been sent for state service medals. Among them, 13 personnel (9 police and 4 fire department) have been awarded the “Telangana State Bravery Medal”. They will receive a cash incentive of Rs. 10,000 each. Their monthly salaries will also be increased by Rs. 500.

    The “Telangana State Distinguished Service Medal” has been announced for 13 personnel. They will receive a cash incentive of Rs. 40,000 each. A cash incentive of Rs. 30,000 will be given to 112 personnel who have received the “Excellent Service Medal”. The “Difficult Service Medal” has been awarded to 58 personnel. They will receive a cash incentive of Rs. 20,000 each. Additionally, 525 personnel who have received service medals will be given a cash incentive of Rs. 20 each. In addition to these, the State DGP has announced rewards for 50 personnel on special orders.

    The State Formation Day celebrations will be held on June 2nd, marking the creation of Telangana as a separate state from Andhra Pradesh. The day holds immense significance for the people of Telangana as it symbolizes their struggle and achievements in attaining statehood.
