The Gadwal police officials conducted an awareness program in Parumala village covering topics like road safety, traffic rules, cyber crimes, women trafficking, child marriages, superstitions, the importance of dialing 100, services provided by Barosa centers, and other police regulations.
During the program, SI Parvatalu emphasized the importance of following traffic rules such as using seat belts in cars and helmets on bikes. He warned against cyber criminals who may try to deceive people with tactics like offering free coupons or gifts, and advised against clicking on links asking for personal information like PAN card details. He also stressed the need to be cautious while making online purchases and not to respond to suspicious offers.
The artists at the event highlighted health issues faced by women through songs and explained the CEIR application for reporting lost mobile phones. The SHE team was introduced as a resource for women or students facing harassment, who can reach out via phone call or WhatsApp message for assistance and legal action.
Barosa Staff assured that cases of sexual abuse against minor girls would be taken seriously, with POSCO cases being registered against the accused. The Barosa cultural team also showcased present trends through songs at the event.
Head constable Radamma, cultural team members Krishna and Ramanjaneyulu, along with other police personnel and villagers, participated in the awareness program organized by SI Parvatalu under the direction of district SP Riti Raj on Saturday night.
