    Police arrest gang, seize ganja worth Rs 18 lakh

    Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police have arrested three individuals involved in selling the narcotic substance ganja. During the operation, they seized 57 kilograms of dry ganja worth Rs 18 lakh, along with a car, a bike, and three mobile phones.

    The arrested individuals include Chaman from Dhiwani district in Haryana, and two Bowenpally residents, Shivampeta Umakanth (also known as Chinnu) and Arjuna Sai Krishna. Another suspect, Rakesh, a native of Haryana, is currently on the run.

    The arrests were made on Friday near the Hanuman Temple in Gangaram during a routine vehicle check. Police stopped a car that was being driven suspiciously. Upon searching the vehicle, they found 60 brown bundles with a strong odor. It was later confirmed that the bundles contained ganja.

    The suspects were immediately taken to the Chanda Nagar police station for further investigation. The police are continuing their efforts to track down the absconding suspect, Rakesh.
