Three interstate drug smugglers were arrested by the Cyberabad police in Hyderabad after receiving specific information. The police seized 120 kilograms of ganja, along with two cars, a motorcycle, and four mobile phones, all worth Rs. 50.90 lakh. The arrested individuals were identified as Pritham Ray (22) and Bidyut Rai (24) from Odisha, and Rajesh Jain from Sangareddy. However, the main supplier, Deepankar from Malkangiri in Odisha, is still absconding.

According to K Shilpavalli, DCP Madhapur, the accused persons procure ganja from local cultivators in the Malkangiri area of Odisha and supply it to sellers in different states. On April 7, Pritham Ray and his cousin brother Deepankar procured 60 packets of ganja weighing about 120 kilograms at Malkangiri of Odisha State and loaded them into a Skoda Vehicle and Hyundai Aura. They reached Hyderabad on April 8 at Kolluru outskirts under the limit of RC Puram police station to deliver the ganja to the receiver Rajesh Gain. However, on credible information, the RC Puram Police and SOT Madhapur zone police apprehended three accused persons near labour adda’s at Kollur village while Deepankar escaped.
