On the occasion of the 110th birth anniversary of the people’s poet, Padma Vibhushan Sri Kaloji Narayana Rao, Congress Party Gadwal Assembly In-Charge Sarithamma paid floral tributes to his portrait at her camp office in Gadwal.
During the event, Sarithamma spoke about the significant impact of Kaloji’s poetry. She mentioned how his words “I will not be a slave, I will not be a flatterer. I will speak and write as my heart desires,” inspired many people. She praised his role in igniting the aspirations for a separate Telangana state through his powerful writings.
Sarithamma also highlighted how Kaloji’s poetry played an important role in the Telangana movement, leaving a lasting impact on the state’s cultural and political history.
Several prominent Congress leaders attended the event. These included Madhusudhan Babu, Lathipuram Venkatarami Reddy, Yellappa, Bhaskar Yadav, Alwala Rajasekhar Reddy, Amaravai Krishna Reddy, Shetty Atmakur Lakshman, and many others.
