Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with Union Minister G Kishan Reddy and BJP MPs Dharmapuri Arvind and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, held a public meeting in Jagtial ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. Modi accused the opposition of wanting to destroy ‘Shakti’, while he worships every mother and daughter as a form of ‘Shakti’. He declared that he would sacrifice his life for the security of mothers and sisters.

Rahul Gandhi, during the release of the INDI alliance manifesto, mentioned their fight against ‘Shakti’, leading to controversy. Gandhi clarified that he was referring to the ‘shakti’ of unrighteousness, corruption, and falsehood, not any religious power. He accused Modi of twisting his words and claimed that Modi needed tools like EVMs, ED, CBI, and Income Tax to win elections.
