BJP government at the center is rapidly progressing in the states

Telangana has also been caught up in the cycle of false promises

Ahead of the elections, the Modi government is making efforts to establish its stronghold with infrastructure development projects. BJP, along with its alliance partners, is fully committed to completing the development works in Telangana. The state is witnessing protests and agitations due to the establishment of shantytowns before the elections.

Even though BJP came to power in the center, it did not approve a single project out of the 9 proposed for Telangana. The IITIR project, which was already approved, has also been canceled. The construction of Kaji Pet Rail Coach Factory, which should have been given as part of the state’s division promise, has not yet started. Not even a single rupee has been allocated for the heavily anticipated pharmaceutical project. While 35 flyovers and underpasses are being constructed in Hyderabad as part of SRDP, the center has not provided even a single penny. The Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, which was constructed by the state government, has not been allocated Rs 50 crore for basic amenities. Prime Minister Modi himself announced the approval of the Mega Textile Park for Telangana, but there has been no official response so far.

Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Telangana on June 8th for the inauguration of 8 textile parks has surprised Telangana activists with his announcement. The center, which has not taken any steps to move forward with the projects that have already arrived in Telangana, has now announced the construction of a new Rail Ring Road Project in Hyderabad. While one day he criticizes RRRR and on another day he approves a new railway ring project, it is noteworthy. While one section of RRRR has been scrapped, another new project named Rail Ring is being brought forward.

Other major projects initiated by Modi in various states

In January, projects worth Rs 38,000 crore were launched in Mumbai. This includes metro rail lines and basic infrastructure projects worth Rs 12,600 crore.

Modi inaugurated basic infrastructure projects worth Rs 4,400 crore in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Construction of houses has been started for 19,000 people below the poverty line.

In May, railway projects worth Rs 8,200 crore were launched in Odisha.

In May, scientific and technological advanced projects worth Rs 5,800 crore were launched in Delhi.

In April, the methane plant was started in Assam.

In February, the modern airport in Kempegowda, Karnataka was inaugurated; many development works have started.

In August last year, the FVObi bridge over the Sabarmati river in Gujarat was inaugurated.

The speed of work in their respective states

The center, which is using its power over the states ruled by opposition parties to delay projects, is investing crores of rupees in various projects in BJP-ruled states. After completing the works on time, it is trying to impress the people. Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, and other states have approved and are implementing project-based plans. They are coming up with each project as per the fixed deadlines.
