Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Sangareddy district in Telangana with Governor Tamilisai, Union Minister Kishan Reddy, and Telangana Minister Komati Reddy Venkata Reddy. They virtually inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth 9,021 crore rupees. This included the dedication of NH-161 Nanded Akhola National Highway and the foundation stone laying for the widening of NH-65 to six lanes, among other projects.
In Medak district, projects like the widening of NH 765D Medak-Ellareddy highway and the Ella Reddy-Rudrur widening project were initiated. The new MMTS train service between Ghatkesar and Lingampally was also flagged off during the visit.
During his speech, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the importance of the newly inaugurated Civil Aviation Research Center in Sangareddy, stating that it will provide employment opportunities for the youth in Telangana. He stressed the significance of modern infrastructure for India’s development and the connection between national progress and state progress. Modi also mentioned the commencement of development projects worth Rs. 56,000 crores in Adilabad on the previous day, showcasing the government’s commitment to promoting growth across different regions.
