Hyderabad: Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTAU) Vice Chancellor, Professor Aldas Janaiah, recently met with the State Bank of India (SBI) Chairman, Srinivasulu Shetty, in Mumbai. Notably, Shetty is an alumnus of the College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar.
On Monday, the Vice Chancellor, accompanied by the Dean of Agriculture, Dr. J. Satyanarayana, extended an invitation to Shetty to participate in PJTAU’s diamond jubilee celebrations. The event is scheduled to take place on December 20 and 21.
During their discussion, Srinivasulu Shetty expressed a strong interest in supporting the university. He shared his willingness to provide financial aid through SBI’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds. The funds would be used to establish an advanced artificial intelligence lab and a modern agricultural lab on the university’s Rajendranagar campus.
This collaboration promises to enhance the university’s infrastructure and further its commitment to innovation in agriculture.
