Hyderabad: Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTAU) has cancelled all its Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with certain private institutions. The university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Aldas Janaiah, announced on Monday that these agreements were ended because they were found to be harmful to the university’s interests. The review of these MoUs was completed, and they were cancelled by July 2022.
Professor Janaiah also warned the public that some private institutions are falsely using PJTAU’s name to mislead people. These institutions are using social media and brokers to claim they are affiliated with the university and are offering seats in PJTAU’s constituent colleges. He urged students, parents, and the general public to be cautious and not believe such false promises.
The university made it clear that it has no affiliation or partnership with any private institutions in the state for agricultural undergraduate courses. The public is advised to carefully check the authenticity of any information before taking admissions. PJTAU will not be responsible for any problems or consequences that arise from dealings with these private institutions.
