Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has announced that the state government is ready to begin collecting data for issuing family digital cards. This will be done on a pilot basis for five days, starting from October 3, in all Assembly constituencies.
The Chief Minister mentioned that officials have been instructed to increase the number of field visit teams in areas with a high population density. This will help ensure that the data collection runs smoothly.
During a high-level review meeting held on Monday, officials briefed the Chief Minister on the details of the pilot project. They explained that villages, wards, and divisions in all 119 constituencies have been selected for field-level inspections. These inspections will take place from October 3 to October 7.
Revanth Reddy emphasized that field officers should ask for permission before taking photos of any family members. He stressed that taking photos should be optional, and no one should be forced to do so if they refuse.
The Chief Minister also directed Nodal Officers from the old districts to inform District Collectors about the field-level inspections. This will ensure that the program is conducted efficiently. According to officials, the process of identifying families has already been completed using data from sources like Ration Cards, Pension, Self-Help Groups, Farmers’ Insurance, and Health Insurance.
Additionally, Revanth Reddy advised officials to be careful when registering the names of cardholders and making any necessary changes. He also instructed them to prepare a report on the challenges and successes of the pilot project. Once the report is reviewed and any errors are corrected, a full-scale inspection will be carried out across the state.
