Warangal West MLA Naini Rajender Reddy believes that Kazipet has all the necessary elements to establish a railway division. He met with Bhartesh Kumar Jain, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of South Central Railway, in Secunderabad on Tuesday to submit a memorandum requesting a favorable decision to address the long-standing demands of the people in Kazipet.
Naini pointed out that 80% of Kazipet’s population is connected to the railways in some way, emphasizing the need for development in the town. Despite Kazipet’s close proximity to Secunderabad within the South Central Railways, Naini expressed disappointment that previous governments had neglected its growth.
One of the main demands in the memorandum was the establishment of a railway division in Kazipet, a request that has been repeatedly ignored despite various protests. Other demands highlighted included the construction of a bus station, increasing the capacity of the wagon manufacturing unit, adding a third railway line between Secunderabad and Kazipet, introducing new trains from Kazipet to different destinations, and setting up an ITI Apprentice Training Centre.
During the meeting, PCC Members Bathini Srinivas Rao and TPCC Secretary E V Srinivas Rao were also present to support Naini’s efforts.
