A 15-year-old girl who was impregnated by her brother was given permission by a judge to terminate her pregnancy. However, a lawyer has appealed this decision and asked for the order to be set aside. He believes that a baby in the womb is a gift from God and cannot be terminated by a judicial order. The lawyer also argued that the single-judge came to the conclusion that the pregnancy was caused by her brother only on the basis of an FIR. He suggests that the child can be kept in the womb for two more months in a secret manner so that the paternity can be medically proved. The medical report does not state that the life of the child would be in danger at the time of delivery or that the mother would have medical issues if the pregnancy continued. The case will be heard by the single-judge bench on Monday.
