PETA Erects Billboard in Hyderabad to Promote Veganism

In Hyderabad, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has taken a step to encourage compassion and change in the upcoming year. On Thursday, the organization put up a billboard at Jubilee Hills, urging people to make 2025 a year of kindness by switching to a plant-based diet.

The billboard, located on Road No. 36 near Rainbow Park, features images of various animals, including a cow, buffalo, piglet, rabbit, goat, chicken, chick, and lambs. The message on the billboard reads, “Keep us alive in 25, please, go vegan.”

PETA India’s Manager of Vegan and Corporate Projects, Dr. Kiran Ahuja, highlighted the impact of choosing a vegan lifestyle. “Each vegan saves the lives of up to nearly 200 animals a year by simply not eating products made from their bodies. It is really that easy to save thousands of animals’ lives in our lifetimes,” he said.

Dr. Ahuja also emphasized the health and environmental benefits of going vegan. He explained that adopting a vegan diet can help reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and cancer, while also playing a role in preventing future pandemics.

The billboard campaign is part of a larger multi-city initiative by PETA to raise awareness about the advantages of veganism for animals, human health, and the planet. Through efforts like these, the organization aims to inspire more people to embrace a compassionate and sustainable lifestyle.
