The Telangana Narcotics Department officials arrested a police officer named Rajender on Sunday for trying to sell drugs that were seized from a suspect. Rajender used to work as a SI in Raidurgam but was caught in a corruption case by the ACB, which led to his suspension. He later started working as a SSI in Cyberabad CCS after obtaining a stay order from the Court.
The narcotics officers received information that Rajender was hiding some of the seized drugs and attempting to sell them. They arrested him at his home and found 1,750 grams of drugs in his possession. Rajender has been handed over to the Raya Durgam police for further investigation.
