Congress Leaders Asked to Keep It Simple for Upcoming Meeting
The Congress party in Telangana is preparing for an important executive meeting on February 28. This meeting will be led by the new AICC State in-charge, Meenakshi Natarajan. Party leaders have been advised to avoid elaborate arrangements such as banners, flower bouquets, and shawls as gifts. Instead, they have been instructed to maintain a simple and serious atmosphere during her visit.
The main focus of the meeting will be to improve coordination within the party and reduce miscommunication among leaders. Meenakshi Natarajan, along with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, will discuss key issues such as local body elections, the political situation in the state, and internal party matters. Party members hope that this will strengthen cooperation between the state government and the Congress organization. Unlike her predecessors, Natarajan has decided to avoid grand welcomes and unnecessary gatherings of party workers, particularly those vying for positions.
However, she faces significant challenges as divisions within the party continue to surface. There have been several incidents highlighting misunderstandings and conflicts among leaders. The party is already dealing with issues related to some MLAs feeling sidelined. Additionally, recent comments made by former MP Anjan Kumar Yadav and Disciplinary Committee chairman Chinna Reddy against fellow party members are circulating on social media, attracting media attention.
In recent virtual meetings, Natarajan has discussed ways to resolve these disputes. A major concern is the growing communication gap between government officials and party workers. She has also been made aware of group politics, including secret meetings held by MLAs and power struggles among ministers. Some leaders are reportedly trying to outmaneuver others for influence within the party.
With tensions rising, Meenakshi Natarajan’s leadership will be crucial in addressing these internal issues and ensuring better coordination within the Telangana Congress.
