PCB Chairman Najam Sethi confirmed that while discussions are ongoing regarding India’s matches at a neutral venue for the Asia Cup 2023, no talks have taken place with the ICC regarding the World Cup. The PCB also criticized inaccurate reports in the media regarding the hybrid model proposed by Sethi for the Asia Cup, which has yet to be advocated at the proper ICC forum.
