Patients Struggle at Nagarkurnool District Hospital

Patients at the Nagarkurnool District General Hospital are facing serious difficulties due to the absence of doctors. On Tuesday morning, many patients had to wait for over an hour because no doctors were available on duty.

Several emergency cases arrived at the hospital, including a person with chest pain, another with kidney issues, one suffering from stomach pain, and a child with an earache. However, there were no doctors in the casualty ward to treat them. As a result, these patients suffered for more than half an hour. Shockingly, only one nurse was present to attend to all the patients, showing the hospital’s negligence.

Attempts to contact the hospital superintendent for clarification were unsuccessful, as he was unavailable over the phone. Every day, hundreds of patients from Kalwakurthy, Achampet, Kollapur, and the Nallamala agency areas come to this hospital. However, due to poor medical services, they are experiencing serious distress.

Despite the government investing heavily in healthcare, the lack of punctuality among doctors and the absence of accountability from hospital staff are raising serious concerns. Patients and their families are now urging higher authorities to take immediate action to improve the situation.
