Expressing his displeasure over the rise of political factions and murder politics in Telangana, BRS working president KT Rama Rao stated that there can be no peace if there are attacks on his party workers. He assured that the entire party would support and stand by each worker.
KTR, along with other leaders, visited Kollapur in Mahabubnagar district to pay tribute to party worker Ch Mallesh, who was recently killed. He paid his respects by garlanding Mallesh’s photo and provided solace to his wife, children, and family members. Rao announced that the party would take full responsibility for Mallesh’s children and offered them financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh. Mallesh, a retired army jawan, was a dedicated worker for the party, and his loss is deeply felt by BRS.
Rao pointed out that political murders were unheard of in Telangana before, but the killing of Mallesh by political opponents and factions in Kollapur constituency was unprecedented. He condemned this act of violence, emphasizing that while winning and losing are natural in politics, such killings are evil. Rao appealed to Minister Jupally Krishna Rao to discourage this culture of violence, citing that during their ten years in government, there were no attacks on Congress workers or leaders.
The BRS leader called for strict action against those responsible for this heinous crime, regardless of which party is in power. He demanded justice for Mallesh’s family and urged the government to conduct an impartial investigation into the matter. KTR also emphasized the importance of keeping the public informed about crucial details, such as the call records of the criminals involved. He suggested that the Director General of Police should personally oversee the investigation to ensure its fairness.
