Telangana Congress Party Secretary Dr. Kuruva Vijay Kumar held a protest at the Martyrs Memorial, Gun Park in the city. He demanded a party ticket to contest in the upcoming Assembly elections. He accused Telangana Congress President A Revanth Reddy of selling the Gadwal assembly ticket to a non-Congress leader for a large sum of money and land.

Vijay Kumar claimed that party tickets were being given only to those who paid a significant amount. He stated that 65 party tickets had already been sold for a total of Rs 600 crore.
