Telangana Congress Party Secretary Dr. Kuruva Vijay Kumar held a protest at the Martyrs Memorial, Gun Park in the city. He demanded a party ticket to contest in the upcoming Assembly elections. He accused Telangana Congress President A Revanth Reddy of selling the Gadwal assembly ticket to a non-Congress leader for a large sum of money and land.
Vijay Kumar claimed that party tickets were being given only to those who paid a significant amount. He stated that 65 party tickets had already been sold for a total of Rs 600 crore.
The Telangana Congress leader expressed his disappointment that many senior leaders who had worked hard were not given tickets. He warned that the party would face a major setback in the upcoming assembly election if these deserving leaders were not recognized and given their fair share.
