The Election Commission has announced the schedule for the State Assembly election, sparking discussions on the political fortunes of different parties. Young and unemployed individuals have expressed their opinions on the current situation in their respective areas.

Sandeep from Kamareddy explains that while they are aware of the actions and failures of the State government, the reality in their place is different. He mentions that even though he may prefer a party other than the BRS (Telangana Rashtra Samithi), his family members prefer the ruling party due to benefits they receive, such as land ownership and government pensions. Sandeep believes that the 3:2 voting logic within families in villages and districts works in favor of the BRS.

Kiran adds that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, also known as KCR, has mastered the strategy of “kushrahna” (elderly influence). He explains that in families where there are more elders and agricultural landowners, the 3:2 voting math tends to favor the ruling party. The views and preferences of the younger and unemployed individuals are often influenced by their parents and grandparents, further benefiting the ruling party.

C Niranjan mentions that although the Congress has a strong cadre in many places, there is a widespread belief among people of all age groups that even if Congress candidates are elected, they will eventually join the BRS. The impact of this perception on the independent impression of the Congress is yet to be seen.

Regarding the BJP, it is observed that the saffron party has an advantage among urban people. Its policies are well-received, and there is a positive sentiment towards it in districts. However, the BJP’s cadre is still developing and not strong in districts like Kamareddy. Candidates from the BJP contribute to the party’s popularity in places like Karimnagar, Nizamabad, and Secunderabad.

Overall, it is evident that the BRS holds a strong position due to the 3:2 voting logic and the influence of elders, while the Congress and BJP face challenges in cracking this pattern.
