    Amidst heavy rains in Hyderabad, there have been reports of lightning striking on the road in some areas. One incident occurred in Attahpur, and a video of it is going viral on social media. The public is being cautioned to stay indoors and only go out for emergencies. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident, but there were reports of some electronics being damaged.

    Heavy rains have been affecting many districts of Telangana, and the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for the state. They predict that heavy to very heavy rains will continue for the next three days. The department had previously issued an orange alert but has now upgraded it to a red alert.

    A Twitter user shared a video of the lightning strike in Attapur during the heavy downpour. The person walking on the street narrowly missed being hit. Thankfully, there were no injuries, but some electronics were reportedly damaged.

    The Meteorological Department warns that there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains across the state on July 25, 26, and 27. Thunder, lightning, and gusty winds are expected. Wind speeds are predicted to be between 40 to 50 kilometers per hour.

    A cyclone has formed in the Bay of Bengal and is currently 3.1 km above sea level near South Odisha. It is expected to continue intensifying. A low-pressure area is also likely to form over the North West Bay of Bengal near South Odisha – North Andhra on July 24.

    People in Telangana are advised to take precautions and stay safe during the rains.
