In Hyderabad, BRS legislator Palla Rajeshwar Reddy criticized party leaders who are joining the Congress, accusing them of leaving to avoid facing consequences for their illegal actions. He made these comments during a press conference with other party members, where he also mentioned that some leaders were being threatened, leading them to switch parties.
Reddy expressed his frustration with the trend of “selfish people” changing parties without resigning and warned that those engaging in such actions would face public backlash. He emphasized the need for accountability and criticized leaders for not properly assessing and addressing issues such as crop damage caused by untimely rain and hailstorms.
The BRS leader highlighted that around two lakh acres of crops were affected by these natural disasters, particularly in north Telangana. He criticized CM A Revanth Reddy and Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao for their lack of response to the crisis, accusing them of spreading misinformation about the previous government’s handling of similar situations. Reddy claimed that during their tenure, they actively assessed crop losses and provided financial support to affected farmers.
