In Hyderabad, the BJP candidate for the Lok Sabha seat, Kompella Madhavi Latha, is generating buzz on social media. She is running against Asaduddin Owaisi of the AIMIM party. People are calling this election a battle between Owaisi Hospital and Virinchi Hospital. Many voters in the area do not believe Madhavi Latha will make a difference since Owaisi has been representing Hyderabad for a long time.

After the BJP announced Madhavi Latha as their candidate, social media users started talking about the competition between the two hospitals. The hashtag Owaisi vs Virinchi became popular in the city. This is the first time the BJP has chosen a female candidate for the Old City segment. Madhavi Latha, who is a Bharatanatyam dancer and holds an MA in Political Science, is known for her speeches supporting Hindu Dharma. She has criticized Asaduddin in the past and works in Old City.

Madhavi Latha gained attention with her statement against Owaisi, claiming it was now their turn after 40 years. Owaisi has been the MP for Hyderabad for four terms since 2004. The BJP’s vote share in the area has fluctuated in recent elections. Despite this, voters believe the party needs to work harder to improve its performance in Hyderabad. Some voters have criticized Madhavi Latha for her hospital losing its license due to overcharging COVID-19 patients.

A representative from AIMIM expressed confidence in their party’s ability to win the seat again. They mentioned the party’s long history of success in the region. A political analyst criticized Madhavi Latha for her lack of experience and potential impact on the city’s peace and harmony. The Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency includes several AIMIM strongholds and one BJP stronghold.
