    The Government of Telangana has approved around 24,000 business proposals with a total investment of Rs 2.65 lakh crore in the past eight and a half years under the TS-iPASS Act. E Venkat Narsimha Reddy, Vice Chairman & Managing Director of TSIIC, shared this information at the inauguration of HIPLEX, International Plastic Expo 2023. He praised the organizers for hosting such a big expo and encouraged the stakeholders of the plastic industry to partner with the government for growth. He also suggested that exhibitors visit the industrial parks in the city to see the developments firsthand.

    Narsimha Reddy also highlighted the significance of the TS iPass Act, which provides fast processing for licenses required to set up industries. He mentioned that the first plastic park in the city is fully occupied, and the TSIIC is prepared to provide land for a second one. The TAAPMA can address all issues related to allotment to accommodate MSMEs.

    HIPLEX is currently the largest expo in South and Central India, taking place at HITEX in Hyderabad. This four-day exhibition is a new version of the previous IPLEX after eight years. The Telangana and Andhra Plastics Manufacturers Association (TAAPMA), a trade body founded in 1969, organized the event. The expo was attended by D Chandra Sekhar, Addl Development Commissioner, MSME Development and Facilitation Office, Government of India, Ministry of MSME, and other officials.
