    Telangana Congress Highlights Employment Achievements

The Telangana Congress recently claimed that its governance under the banner of “Praja Palana” has brought positive changes to the lives of youth in the state. One of the key accomplishments highlighted was the fulfillment of its job creation promise within the first year of governance. Over 53,000 positions were filled, setting a national record for job placements in a single year.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy initiated significant reforms in the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) to align its standards with the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The government resolved long-pending issues related to examinations and results. Additionally, the TGPSC relaxed the age limit for job applicants, addressing a decade-long gap in job opportunities that had disadvantaged many young candidates.

A unique initiative introduced by the government was the announcement of an annual job calendar. This system enables the continuous and systematic recruitment of government jobs throughout the year, providing clarity and opportunities for aspiring candidates.

During the previous BRS regime, 7,857 teacher posts were filled through the District Selection Committee (DSC). However, the new government surpassed this by conducting the Mega DSC 2024, filling 11,062 teacher posts within just ten months. Exams were conducted in July, and results were declared swiftly by September 30. Appointment papers were handed out to the selected candidates during the Dussehra festival.

The government also addressed issues in the Group-1 exam, canceling it due to allegations of paper leaks. A fresh notification for 563 posts was issued, and both prelims and mains exams were successfully held. Group-3 exams took place on November 17 and 18, while Group-2 exams are scheduled for December 15 and 16. This year alone, TGPSC facilitated recruitment for 3,393 job vacancies across various sectors.

In other sectors, the CM personally distributed appointment documents to 687 Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs) in the Irrigation Department and 96 Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspectors (AMVIs) in the Transport Department. Additionally, the final results for Group-4 exams, which were pending under the previous regime, were announced.

For police recruitment, the government removed barriers to filling constable posts. Appointment documents were issued to 16,067 candidates through the Police Recruitment Board.

The Medical and Health Services Recruitment Board also achieved significant progress. It completed the recruitment of 7,094 staff nurses, with 6,956 already receiving appointment letters. Recruitment efforts for 1,284 Lab Technicians, 2,050 Nursing Officers (Staff Nurses), and 633 Pharmacists (Grade 2) are underway, with a total of 5,378 posts in various stages of the hiring process.

The Telangana Congress emphasized that these initiatives reflect its commitment to providing robust employment opportunities and a brighter future for the youth in the state.
