The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids in more than 100 locations across various states. The raids targeted people associated with Jaswinder Singh Multani, a member of the outlawed group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ). The NIA teams searched places in Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and other locations. This was done in response to five cases filed against a network of terrorists, drug smugglers, gangsters, and drug dealers.

Jaswinder Singh Multani was involved in the bombing near the Model Burail Jail in Chandigarh last year. He was arrested in Germany in 2021 for planning the explosion at the Ludhiana court. According to NIA sources, gangsters who live overseas are trying to support Khalistani separatists and create terrorism. More than 200 members of the NIA Red Team were present during the raids.
