Three districts in the state awarded ‘Excellent’ grade in performance index, 22 districts graded 1 in school education rankings
Hyderabad, July 9 (Namaste Telangana): The Performance Graded Index (PGI) released by the Central Education Department has awarded the ‘Excellent’ grade to Malkajgiri, Hanamkonda, and Siddipet districts in the state. In this list related to school education, another 22 districts in Telangana have achieved ‘Grade 1’ while 6 districts have been awarded ‘Grade 2’. They have considered a total of 83 parameters such as academic results, attendance, availability of schools and teachers, basic facilities, conduct of exams, school safety, child protection, digital learning, governance, etc., and have compiled this list of 600 marks.
The districts that have achieved more than 90% marks have been given the ‘Daksh’ grade, those with 81% to 90% marks have been given the ‘Utkarsh’ grade, those with 71% to 80% marks have been given the ‘Ati Utkam’ grade, those with 61% to 70% marks have been given the ‘Uttam’ grade, those with 51% to 60% marks have been given the ‘Grade 1’ grade, and those with 41% to 50% marks have been given the ‘Grade 2’ grade. For districts that scored less than 40%, they have been assigned four types of grades (Grade 3, Akanshi-1, Akanshi-2, Akanshi-3). It is noteworthy that not a single district in Telangana has fallen into this category. In this ranking for the year 2021-22, 51 districts across the country have achieved the ‘Ati Utkam’ grade. 271 districts have achieved the ‘Uttam’ grade, 290 districts have achieved the ‘Grade 1’ grade, and 117 districts have achieved the ‘Grade 2’ grade. 18 districts have been assigned the ‘Grade 3’ grade and one district has received the ‘Akanshi-1’ grade.
The districts of Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Mahabubabad, Wanaparthy, Karimnagar, Sangareddy, Rangareddy, Mancherial, Jogulamba Gadwal, Mahbubnagar, Vikarabad, Jayashankar Bhoopalpally, Kamareddy, Mulugu, Jangaon, Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Hyderabad, Rajanna-Sircilla, Medak, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal have achieved the ‘Grade 1’ grade. The districts of Narayanpet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Nagarkurnool, Suryapet, Peddapalli, and Adilabad have achieved the ‘Grade 2’ grade. In Uttar Pradesh, the Darjeeling district in West Bengal has achieved the ‘Akanshi-2’ grade in these rankings. In South Salmara district in Assam, it has been limited to the ‘Akanshi-1’ grade.
