    The alumni association of OU College of Engineering organized its annual global alumni meet-2023 on Sunday. The event brought together alumni from around the world for a day of camaraderie, networking, and creating memories. The general board meet proceedings provided a platform for alumni to catch up and learn about college updates.

    The event started with the traditional lighting of the lamp and an invocation, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the alma mater. Engineer Satish Naik paid tribute to departed alumni, evoking memories within the community. Distinguished guests, including Dr. D Vijay Kumar, President of the Alumni Association, and Prof. D Ravinder, OU Vice-Chancellor, added prestige to the gathering.

    As part of a tradition, Prof. K Seetharamulu and Er. V Ramkishan Rao from the Civil Engineering batch of 1956 were honored as the oldest living alumni. Stalls and games added a festive touch to the event, fostering unity and shared experiences among the alumni.

    Poster presentations were held on the theme ‘Perspectives and challenges in engineering on the moon’. Certificates and cash prizes were awarded to encourage excellence in research and academia. The meet was a great success, with Dr. D Rama Krishna expressing gratitude to all participants for making the event memorable.
