    The Department of Commerce at Osmania University has announced that many of its MCom IV Semester students have secured jobs through campus recruitment. These students were offered positions as US tax consultants at Deloitte, with a salary package of Rs 7.6 lakh per annum. A special event was held to celebrate this achievement, where Professor Laxminarayana, the university registrar, encouraged the students to continue setting high goals in their careers.

    Professor Sekhar, from the department, spoke about the excellent placement record of the MCom courses. He shared that 80 to 90 percent of MCom and MCom (Information Systems) students find jobs each year. He also mentioned that many students have been selected for various government positions, such as degree lecturers, junior lecturers, and school teachers. Some students are also waiting for results for assistant professor roles.

    Furthermore, each year, 15 to 20 students from the department qualify for the prestigious UGC Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). This success rate is one of the highest among all Indian universities.
