Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of AIMIM, criticized the Telangana government for not improving the Osmania hospital in Hyderabad. Owaisi, who typically supports the K Chandrashekar Rao government, wrote on Twitter that the government is using funds to extend NIMS hospital rather than upgrading Osmania. Despite his meeting with government officials last year, no progress has been made. The state government has the funds to upgrade the hospital, but they have neglected the needs of Hyderabadis. The building is dilapidated and not suitable for a modern hospital. The restoration was estimated to cost Rs 560 crores, which is a small amount for a prosperous state government. Public money should help the poorest people get life-saving healthcare. Why is there a delay in starting work on Osmania?
