A young girl from Warangal attempted suicide by hanging herself and was taken to a hospital in Hyderabad. Unfortunately, the doctors declared her brain dead. Her parents made the brave decision to donate her organs, giving others a chance at life. The girl’s name is Pooja and she was studying in Thigarajupalli. On July 18, she tried to take her own life at home but her parents intervened and rushed her to a nearby hospital. She was then transferred to NIMS in Hyderabad for better care.

Despite receiving treatment, Pooja’s health did not improve over the following days. On July 24, doctors determined that she had become brain dead as she showed no response to treatment. Representatives from Jeevan Dan, an organization that promotes organ donation, explained the option to Pooja’s parents. Realizing that their daughter could live on through others, they agreed to donate her organs. Pooja’s kidneys, liver, lungs, and corneas were collected by doctors and handed over to Jeevan Dan for transplantation.
