Hyderabad: Minister for Transport, Ponnam Prabhakar, criticized the Opposition for their comments against the State government. He stated that the former ministers who lost power are speaking without thinking.
During a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, the Minister expressed his dissatisfaction with the BRS leaders for questioning the Congress government just two days after its formation. He accused the previous BRS government of turning the revenue-surplus Telangana into a debt-ridden State, causing a financial mess.
The Minister mentioned the launch of two guarantee schemes within 48 hours of the new government’s formation. These schemes will be implemented in all 119 Assembly constituencies across Telangana State.
Ponnam alleged that in the previous BRS government, there was no freedom to raise issues, and nobody dared to speak about problems. He assured that the Congress government would run in a democratic manner and listen to the voice of all sections of the people in order to resolve issues.
Regarding the Mahalakshmi scheme, which is allegedly affecting the livelihood of auto drivers, Ponnam stated that the State government understands their problems. He promised to make a suitable decision after discussing with all the stakeholders.
