Union Minister Calls for Corruption-Free Governance in Telangana
Union Minister Kishan Reddy has called for a “double-engine Sarkar” in Telangana to ensure corruption-free governance. He emphasized that such a government would help the state progress and meet the aspirations of its people.
Speaking at an event in the Khairatabad constituency, where leaders and activists from various parties officially joined the BJP, Kishan Reddy, who also serves as the State BJP president, strongly criticized the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the Congress. He accused both parties of being responsible for corruption, irregularities, and mismanagement in the state.
Kishan Reddy highlighted that during the ten years of BJP-led governance at the national level, there have been no accusations of corruption against any Central ministers. He contrasted this with the alleged malpractices in Telangana under the leadership of BRS and Congress.
The Union Minister further criticized the Congress party’s prolonged influence in the state, stating that it does not align with the expectations and aspirations of Telangana’s citizens. He expressed confidence in the BJP’s growing acceptance as an alternative, noting that the party had won eight parliamentary seats in the recent elections.
