    On Monday, students from the Women’s Degree & PG College in Khammam participated in a program for World Environment Day. The event was organized by various organizations and the government college. The students went into the forest and cleaned up plastic and other hazardous objects from the environment.

    During the program, District Forest Officer Sidhardha Vikram Singh spoke about the importance of environmental protection. He urged young people to create awareness among others on environmental issues. He also stated that the government supports the construction of a plastic-free society, and citizens should work together to improve society.

    Other attendees included Divisional Forest Officer B Babu, FRO B Radhika, college principal Dr G Padmavathi, Botany lecturer P Krishnaveni, Green Way organizers D Ravikumar, Forest department officers Venu Madhva, Herpiyam Keeper Srikanth, and others.
