The Centre for Folk Culture Studies (CFCS) at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) is partnering with the Department of Language and Culture, Government of Telangana, to host a special event. They will present and hold a workshop on oggu katha, an ancient folk theatre art form from Telangana. The event will take place on September 23 and 24.

University officials say the goal of these programmes is to help students from all over India and abroad learn more about Telangana’s folk theatre traditions.

The event will also provide a great chance for students to explore educational topics related to Indian folk arts. Participants will get to watch and experience the traditional folk art of Telangana in person.
