The efforts of Minister for Endowments, Konda Surekha, have brought positive changes to the Yadagirigutta Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple. Through her continuous reviews and meetings, the temple is now set to become a more beautiful destination.
Thanks to Minister Surekha’s proactive steps, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has given permission to start the gold-plating work on the temple’s tower, known as the vimana gopuram. Minister Surekha has instructed the authorities to begin the work immediately. The State government has assigned the task to a company called M/s Smart Creations. The goal is to finish the gold-plating before the temple’s Brahmotsavam festival, which is scheduled for March 2025.
To ensure the project runs smoothly, the government has created a special committee. This committee will be led by Principal Secretary (Endowment) Shailaja Ramaiyer, with the Director of the Endowments department acting as the convener. Other important members include the Government Advisor for Infrastructure and Projects, VTDAs Vice Chairman G Kishan Rao, the Executive Officer of the Yadagirigutta temple, and the Chief Engineer of the Electricity department.
The committee will closely monitor the progress of the gold-plating work. They will also provide any necessary guidance and suggestions. The government has issued two separate orders related to both the gold-plating project and the formation of the committee to supervise it.
In addition, the government has also approved the acquisition of land to help with the development and expansion of the Sri Sitarama Chandra Swamy Temple in Bhadradri Kothagudem district.
