Dana Kishore, the Managing Director of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB), recently conducted an inspection of the ongoing works at Fatehnagar Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and Miyapur Patel Cheruvu STP. During the inspection, he instructed senior officials to ensure the completion of the Fatehnagar STP. Additionally, he also inspected the Miyapur Patel Cheruvu STP. The civil works for both STPs have already been completed, and currently, painting works and plantation activities in the surrounding areas are in progress.

HMWSSB is working towards fully treating the daily sewage produced in Hyderabad by constructing 31 new STPs. These new STPs are being built at a cost of Rs 3,866.41 crore under three different packages in Greater Hyderabad. They will be constructed in all five circles of the city. Once completed, these STPs will have the capacity to treat 1257.50 million liters of sewage per day on a regular basis.
