The Agriculture Minister, Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, said that the Palamuru Ranga Reddy Upliftment Scheme is fulfilling the dreams of people in South Telangana. The scheme will cost Rs 35,000 crore and will irrigate 12.5 lakh acres of land using seven TMCs of Krishna river water. The Chief Minister’s special secretaries inspected the project to ensure that work is progressing efficiently. The Narlapur Reservoir has been inspected, and the electrical mechanical works have been examined in phases. The project will ensure regular water allocations to avoid future water problems. Once the Palamuru Rangareddy Upliftment Scheme is completed, South Telangana will become greener.
