CPI(M) Leaders Urge Protection of Government Lands in Khammam

Khammam: CPI(M) State Committee Member Yarra Srikanth and Khammam Division Secretary Y Vikram have criticized officials for not taking proper action to protect government lands in Khammam city. They expressed concern that these lands may soon be left unprotected if encroachments continue.

On Monday, a delegation from the CPI(M) Khammam Division submitted a request to the Khammam City Commissioner. They urged the authorities to safeguard the premises of the main government hospital in Khammam city, which they believe is under threat.

The leaders pointed out that it is wrong for officials to remain silent while government hospital lands are being taken over. They alleged that some individuals are trying to claim these lands, which have been under government control for 70 years, by falsely using inheritance claims.

They warned that if such encroachments are allowed to continue, there will soon be no government lands left in the city. They called for immediate action to prevent further illegal occupation.
