Former minister T Harish Rao’s office has condemned the false news that his PA cashed CMRF cheques. They clarified that the person, Naresh, was a temporary employee and not Harish Rao’s PA. After Harish Rao’s tenure as Finance and Health Minister ended, the office was closed on December 6, 2023, and staff were let go. Naresh took some CMRF cheques without permission during the office closure, and a complaint was filed against him on December 17, 2023.

Harish Rao’s office emphasized that they had no connection with Naresh after the office closed. They pointed out that the false propaganda linking Naresh’s actions to Harish Rao or the office is unfair. The office also mentioned that they have assisted many sick and poor individuals in various ways in addition to handling CMRF cheques.
