Many voters in Hyderabad district have not received their voter slips for the State Assembly elections, even though the door-to-door distribution began on November 15. With only one day left before the end of campaigning, citizens in several city divisions have confirmed that they did not receive their slips. Some have resorted to downloading them from the website of the Telangana State Election Commission. This lack of slips may result in many voters skipping the election.

Social activists are criticizing the election authorities for not ensuring that everyone receives their voter slip, which could greatly impact the voting percentage. Activist Asif Hussain Sohail points out that while it is not mandatory to have a voter slip to cast a vote, there is still a lack of awareness among voters about this. He urges voters to go to their polling booth with relevant identification documents and vote.

According to Asif, only around 60% of people have received their voter slips, leaving a large number yet to be distributed. The election authorities and political parties are making efforts to increase the voting percentage, but some Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have been unable to distribute slips to all voters in their areas. Additionally, many voters may not have access to the internet to download the slips online. Educated individuals have managed to download their slips using different methods, but others may not make extra efforts to obtain them and may end up skipping voting.

Residents of Nampally have complained that neither the Election Commission nor the GHMC has visited their locality of approximately 50 houses to distribute voter slips.
