The notification for two Member of Legislative Council (MLC) posts in Telangana has been released. The assembly office has issued the by-election notification for two vacant MLC seats in the state.

In addition, separate notifications have been issued for the elections to be held separately for both seats. The process of nominations will start today and will be accepted until the 18th of this month. The nominees’ credentials will be scrutinized on the 19th, and the deadline for withdrawal is the 22nd. The polling will take place on the 29th of this month, with the results being declared on the same day.

MLCs Kadiam Srihari and Padi Kaushik Reddy won as Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) in the assembly elections and subsequently resigned from their MLC positions. As a result, the Election Commission is conducting by-elections for these two seats. However, since separate elections are being held for each seat, the ruling Congress party is expected to secure those seats due to its current strength.
