Dr PV Ramabhrahmam Sastry, a noted historian, was honored at a centenary souvenir release event in Hyderabad on Monday. Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan praised Sastry’s exceptional work in Numismatics and for introducing a new theory about the Satavahans as the earliest rulers of Telangana and other Telugu regions. Sastry’s commitment to publishing well-researched district-wise edited volumes of inscriptions, reputable journal publications, and numerous lectures on his subject enriched the domain knowledge.

The function was presided over by Professor Ramakrishna, and many leaders, including M Budda Prasad, BP Acharya, and M Harikrishna, paid tribute to Sastry’s epigraphic and numismatic research and selfless dedication to the cause.
