Kothagudem MLA Vanama Vankateshwara Rao and BRS leader Jalagam Venkata Rao did not attend the Assembly on Thursday. Vanama Vankateshwara Rao is facing disqualification due to a wrong affidavit, as ruled by the High Court. Jalagam Venkata Rao, who has been cleared to become an MLA, was also absent as he has not yet taken the oath as a member. He had attempted to meet Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy but was unsuccessful. It remains to be seen whether Venkata Rao will take his seat in this session, as it may be the last one before the next Assembly elections.
