The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation had a council meeting on Wednesday, but it ended abruptly when some officials walked out. The zonal commissioners accused the BJP corporators of being disrespectful towards HMWSSB officials. The corporators also dumped silt in the HMWSSB office, which was inappropriate. The Mayor agreed that the language used by BJP members was wrong and that the council meeting was meant to resolve public grievances, not to disrespect officials.

The zonal teams are working hard to solve the problems of 4,846 colonies in the city with representatives of Colony Residential and Slum Area Federation for quick resolution of public grievances. More than 360 teams are working on this. A high-level committee has been formed to prevent dog bite incidents. The GHMC will inspect the animal protection centres run by the civic body and take appropriate measures to establish infrastructure and take preventive measures of dog-bite cases. The committee will follow the guidelines of the Animal Welfare Board.
