No Bag Day | Hyderabad, June 23 (Namaste Telangana): The School Education Department has instructed officials of the School Education Department to implement No Bag Day every fourth Saturday from this academic year. As per the School Bag Policy 2020, students are required to attend school without bags for 10 days in a month. They are currently following this practice of reducing the weight of school bags. However, what activities should be conducted on these No Bag Days and what precautions should be taken were suggested in a special book published by the SCERT.

The book has been prepared for students from Class 1 to Class 10. It includes a variety of activities, which can be implemented using available resources. Visits to museums, historical sites, gram panchayats, science experiments, skits on girl education, kite making, artificial intelligence, math corners, math rangoli, model elections, mock assembly, conducting economic transactions, and project-based learning, among others, are being recommended in all types of schools in the state.
