Dwarka Expressway construction is almost finished, and traffic is expected to start soon, according to Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Roads and Highways. He made this announcement during the foundation stone laying ceremony for the India International Cultural Center and the concluding ceremony of a three-day cultural festival. Gadkari also mentioned that once the road is completed, people from Dwarka and Old Gurugram will be able to travel to Jaipur in about two hours using the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

Gadkari also stated that the completion of this project will help reduce congestion on the Gurugram-Jaipur National Highway. He added that the new Outer Ring Road in Delhi will be finished in the next six months, which will shorten the trip from Panipat to IGI Airport by half an hour. This will save time and fuel for travelers. The construction of an eight-lane underground and eight-lane above-ground road network near Shivmurti in Delhi is also underway.

The new route will provide a faster link for traffic going from Gurugram, IGI Airport, South and West Delhi to Chandigarh and beyond. It will significantly reduce traffic congestion on Delhi roadways, especially the Ring Road and Outer Ring Road. Currently, vehicles coming from Jaipur and Chandigarh have to pass through these roads, causing extra travel time and contributing to congestion and air pollution in the city.
